gmk interim is a subsidiary of gmk and specialises in placing both interim lawyers and paralegals into temp, contract and temp to perm roles. We aim to provide a service of the utmost professionalism and integrity for clients and candidates alike.

Client services

Interim legal professionals are carving a new path for the legal industry, easing immediate workload issues – such as cover for holiday, sick leave, maternity leave or increased short term workload on a project basis. In addition to assisting with immediate needs, using interims can prove to be a great way of “testing” someone for a potential long term role. The “try before you buy” scenario is becoming increasingly popular and has proven to save costs involved in recruiting and re-recruiting.

As the war for legal talent continues, gmk will endeavour to provide you with excellent candidates. Since we formed in 1998, we have created an extensive database of high calibre candidates. As we cover the regions and abroad as well as London we hold a larger pool of candidates and often have applicants referred to us directly from internationally located sister companies (making way for overseas professionals who come with additional skills).When sourcing our candidates, our database, together with other sources (referrals and press responses), are used, all of which have proved to be excellent tools for finding the right lawyers. Additionally, all of our interim candidates are interviewed in detail by our consultants thus minimising the risk to you of making an unsuitable recruit.

As part of our service standards to you, we promise the following:

  • Each client will be serviced by a dedicated interim consultant.
  • Monthly bulletins will be sent out detailing all relevant immediately and soon to be available candidates.
  • References will be provided for candidates upon clients request.
  • All pay rolled candidates will be screened and interviewed, and relevant documents obtained.
  • Clients and candidates will be contacted at the start of assignments to ensure they are settled.
  • In all long term assignments we aim to keep in touch with candidates and clients as appropriate throughout the probationary period.
  • All clients will have an audit every year on the service provided by us, and we will make any amendments to service levels as necessary.

Trust and communication is the foundation of our candidate relationships. Each candidate is serviced by a dedicated interim consultant who will work proactively on your behalf, giving you honest advice and keeping in contact with you throughout the process.
